God Is Even There

God is even there ~
Where it seems you shouldn’t be
That place along your journey
Towards your destiny

That place where things look strange
Where right before your eyes
You’re going through some trials
That you just don’t recognise

God is even there ~
Your valley’s not too low
He listens to your prayer
He wants to let you know

It may look this way now
“There is no rhyme or reason”
This may be how you feel
But friend, it’s for a season

For all things work together
To those who love the Lord
They work together for good
So you can be assured

He promised never to leave you
You may not understand
Just trust your Heavenly Father
Tomorrow’s in His hand

Take Over Lord!

Let love take over when hate surrounds;
Let my heart be filled with love that abounds.
Let joy bring strength when I feel weak.
You’re all I need; Your face I seek.

Let peace take over that calms all strife;
Your peace from above, for You are my life.
O give me a heart, Lord, of longsuffering,
At times when I’m tested and tried to the brim.

Let gentleness, Lord, be a part of me.
Please mould me, as clay, to be all I should be.
Let goodness shine as the bright morning sun,
So darkness, by light, may be overcome.

Let faith come forth that will banish all fear.
Dispel all the doubts; let Your presence be near.
Let meekness, Lord, be what You will see.
Remove all earthly pride in me

Let temperance show ~ in all that I do.
Please help me to be a reflection of You
Each step of the way, in the journey I take,
Be exalted, dear Lord, for Your Name’s sake.

When the Road is Rough

When the road is rough,
Hold on to the words of the Master.
When your pace has slowed
And you just can’t go any faster.

Put your hand in His
For He NEVER will let you go;
On a mountaintop
Or the lowest depths you know.

Just wait on the Lord
For He will renew your strength.
With wings like an eagle,
Friend – you will rise again.

When you wake or sleep,
The Lord watches over you;
Your soul He keeps –
His word is forever true.

He’s the King of Kings;
Jesus, your greatest Friend
He’s Alpha and Omega,
There from beginning to end.

Lord, Be My Compass

Dear Lord, be my compass as I journey on
My trust is in You Lord, for You’re never wrong
With You in the picture, I know I’ll succeed
With Your hand to guide me, I know You will lead

In the way I should go and the path I should take
Please guide all my steps and each move that I make
Whichever direction You’d have me to go
Please help me to follow ~ help me to know

For You are my Captain and focus of faith
My Alpha and Omega ~ on You Lord I wait
To run on without You, I’m certain to fail
Like a ship on the sea, without a firm sail

Shine on my path ~ each day and each night
Surround me, O Saviour, with heavenly Light
I’m trusting You, Jesus, my joy and my song
O Lord, be my compass as I journey on

My Peace

My Peace

A poem of comfort … based on the words of Jesus in John 14:27, John 16:33 and Matthew 28:20. Time is rolling along fast. Things are happening everywhere, just as the Lord forewarned. The darkness is increasing, but let’s arise and shine! Let’s hold onto the words of our Saviour, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, in this world of tribulation. Be encouraged, dear friend. He promised all who believe that He would never leave us or forsake us. Precious Lord .. fill our hearts with Your peace ~ Amen.

In all of life, whatever we may be going through, as believers,
the Lord promised He will never leave us or forsake us.
Through His Holy Spirit, He promised to abide with us for ever
(St John 14:16)

Steadfast Love

I love you, my child, in the morning.
My love is not quelled by the night.
I love you when you’re in the valley,
or scaling the highest of heights.

I love you when flowers are blooming.
I love you in showers of rain.
I love you when winter is looming
and when summer comes again.

Though sometimes your skies have been grey
or you have been misunderstood,
My love has been present always;
My thoughts towards you are good.

You may have felt strong in the good times
and then have felt weak in the bad.
Perhaps you have tried but failed,
then felt all alone and sad.

You may feel that I’m far away
or wonder if I hear your prayers.
My heart is so touched by your longings.
Each day, I bottle your tears.

I love you, for you’re My creation.
I think about you every day.
I long to bring life and salvation –
to guide you and show you the way.

I long to pour fresh living water
that flows out in life-giving streams;
to arise upon you with My glory,
for then you will dream new dreams.

I’ll not force My way into your heart.
I come through an open door.
I long to bring untold blessings
of life and of peace evermore.

You Made It This Far

Autumn morning Oct 06 2013_1014 (1)
You made it this far
though the road was rough,
though trials you faced
seemed more than enough.

Though some days were lonely
and all looked bleak,
you trusted the Saviour
to guide your feet.

At times when it seemed
you could go on no longer,
His word came through and
helped you to be stronger.

He was beside you,
the Star in your night;
so true and so faithful,
Whose burden is light.

He promised to be with you,
right to the end.
Keep trusting in Jesus,
Your Saviour and Friend!

When He Comes In

Purest love is the candle of gold
that burns in His heart for you.

As the morning sun arising
opens the door to a brand new day,
Christ – the Son of Righteousness –
makes darkness take flight
in surrender to His light ..
when He comes in.

He closed the chasm
that kept His love at bay,
through His blood,
shed to wash our sins away.
Suffering our pain, He gave His life
to bring hope again.

When He comes in
so comes grace
and love divine, the love we pine;
the kind that’s pure
and will endure.

Do embers of hope burn?
Does your soul yearn within?
Christ Jesus is the
Way in the wilderness,
Living Water in the desert.

He’ll make a way.
He’ll do a new thing.

Call on the Name of Jesus.
He’ll hear your cry.
Your tears He’ll dry –
Watch and see.

Your heart, once again, will sing –
when He comes in.
