A Day Is Coming

sunrise..

A day is coming, take heart, dear friend
A day when trouble at last shall end
When Christ shall gather together His own
To be with Him ever in heaven’s sweet home

When sorrowful tears He will wipe all away
When pain shall cease in that endless day
When loved ones again will see one another
Fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers

Aunts and uncles, daughters and sons
Grands and greats, everyone!
Where there will no more be clouds of the night
Where Christ, the heavenly Lamb, is the light

Where joy and gladness forever will reign
When Jesus our Saviour shall come back again
Keep walking with Jesus and never give in
Each day, He’ll give you the grace to win

That day is coming. Look up and be strong
Hold on to the end, for it won’t be long!

I’ll Be There

I'll Be There

~ ~ ~

In all of life, whatever we may be going through, as believers,
the Lord promised He will never leave us or forsake us.
Through His Holy Spirit, He promised to abide with us for ever
(St John 14:16)

Thank you for reading.

Week by week, month by month, year by year, trouble everywhere is increasing. Scripture is being fulfilled before our eyes. But amidst the darkness of this world, the light of hope in Christ is shining. Be encouraged dear believers – a change is coming. God’s Word shall not pass away.

Jesus said

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
“..if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”. (John 14:3)

Come Walk With Me

It’s a New Year, a New Day, dear friend. Whatever yesteryear may have brought, take courage …there’s hope in the Lord. The following is a poem of encouragement from my poetry book, Comfort & Hope, and is written like a “letter of love” from the Lord, as an expression of His compassionate heart. Take a quiet moment to read … and let Him speak to your heart…..

___________

Whatever we go through in life, it’s wonderful to know
that the Lord’s heart of love is always open and
His arms are always ready to welcome and embrace us……

The poem above is the first in my second book of  inspirational poems
Comfort & Hope now available in paperback and e-book from Amazon.

When He Comes In

file181244230718 (by sssh221)

Purest love is the candle of gold
that burns in His heart for you.

As the morning sun arising
opens the door to a brand new day,
Christ – the Son of Righteousness –
makes darkness take flight
in surrender to His light ..
when He comes in.

He closed the chasm
that kept His love at bay,
through His blood,
shed to wash our sins away.

Suffering our pain, He gave His life
to bring hope again.

When He comes in
so comes grace
and love divine, the love we pine;

the kind that’s pure
and will endure.

Do embers of hope burn?
Does your soul yearn within?
Christ Jesus is the
Way in the wilderness,
Living Water in the desert.

He’ll make a way.
He’ll do a new thing.

Call on the Name of Jesus.
He’ll hear your cry.
Your tears He’ll dry –
Watch and see.

Your heart, once again, will sing –
when He comes in.

He’ll Be There

134621

Be strong and of good courage.

Don’t let the sights dismay.
He’ll be there in the battle.
He will not let you stray.

If the Lord our God is for us,
then who can be against?
For He’s our Mighty Fortress;
our Shield and our Defence.

No weapon formed shall prosper;
no judging tongue succeed.
In Christ we are forgiven;
our righteousness is He.

Hold fast to His mighty word,
for greater is He in you
than he that is in the world.
The Lord will see you through.

Potter

On our journey with the Lord, it’s easy to forget that all things work together for good to them that love Him (Romans 8:28), which means God can use anything, any situation, anyone to help us become all that He created us to be. We are “God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV). Nothing we go through is wasted therefore. As we put our trust in Him and allow Him to work in us, though things may take a while to take shape –  it’s win win in the end as we have the encouraging words of scripture that remind us that  “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more to the perfect day”. (Proverbs 4:18 AKJV)

jar

Thank You, Lord,
for Your arms of love
all around us,
shaping us
for heaven
above.
On solid ground
You keep our feet
as we walk life’s street.
As a potter works with clay,
every day, You’re working to
melt and mold us, till Your perfect
will unfolds; refining, till at last we’re
shining, as gold. Help us, Lord, to
understand. Let this piece of clay, I pray,
be a useful vessel in Your hand,
surrendered and transformed
by Your pure and
holy love.

Sing Your Song

Dear Friends, as we journey through life and unforeseen events occur, whether simple or greatly distressing, our faith may be tested – feelings may get in the way – sometimes we may be anxious, but there’s hope …….

As a glimmer of light on a starless night
faith keeps hope alive.
When days seem long and you don’t feel strong,
faith will help you thrive.

Like Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring,
life brings seasons of change.
As sure as the sun, trials do come,
but friend – don’t think it strange.

Faith sings a song of joy within
for things still yet unseen;
rejoicing in hope, it helps you to win,
so don’t give up your dream.

Hold onto God through faith in Christ
and always sing your song.
The answer will come, just trust in Him,
each day as you journey along.

Love Beyond Limits

Dear Friends

I’m honoured to be a Guest Blogger on Blogs by Christian Women and today they published my recent article entitled “Love Beyond Limits”. in which I share some of my life experiences. I pray this will be a blessing to someone …… thanks for reading!

Below is a portion of the article  (for full article, click on http://wp.me/p4YjKM-aL):

LOVE BEYOND LIMITS

“There’s something so very wonderful about God’s love. It reaches beyond all the restrictions of the human mind that cause people to close doors to one another (and to Him); restrictions that cause people to go so far and no further, and for so many different reasons – status, culture, appearance, belief systems, disability, etc. The love of God even reaches beyond the limitations we place on ourselves because of past experiences – loss, failure, hurts, etc.

I lost my mother at the age of 18 months. My sister and I were in care for almost a decade and during that time she became disabled. Although she was older than me, ……… ”  (to see remainder,  click on this link  http://wp.me/p4YjKM-aL)

I pray this may be an encouragement to someone reading it today.

Love and blessings,
Christine
