Lord give me eyes to see beyond
The limits of my mind.
Help me to leave all doubts and fear
Through perfect love, so kind.
Through faith that grabs a hold of You
And knows Your word is true
That says to the mountain, “God is God –
O mountain, who are you?”

Please help me Lord to listen ~
Not to words of unbelief
May the words I hear within my heart
Be the words of life You speak.
O let my heart, within Your hands,
Be pliable as clay
And make me all that You desire
Saviour ~ have Your way.

Lord, guide my feet that I may walk
The narrow road with You
In the path that’s shining more and more
With the perfect day in view.
In body, soul and spirit
I surrender ALL of me
So the light within may shine without
And all the world may see

The Everlasting Arms

Hold on to the everlasting arms
They’ll never let you go
In the arms of Jesus, you will find
The greatest love you’ve known

He’ll give you strength and help you stand
When it seems you’ve had enough
The comfort of His love is real
When the road of life is rough

When the cup is dry and you can’t go on
And you just want to hide away
The Saviour is near, He knows your need
He sees your heart’s dismay

His words are words of life and peace
When all around looks dark
A lamp to your feet, His word will be
A light upon your path

Hold on to the everlasting arms
They’ll never let you go
He’ll keep you safe from all alarm
Because He loves you so

In these challenging times, it’s a comfort to know that the Lord’s arms of love are extended to us. He wants to impart grace and strength always, knowing that “without Him (Jesus) we can do nothing” (John 15). Thank you Lord!

Take Courage

Take courage, dear friend
You WILL come through
In the darkest of days
God is there – for you
Though deep down inside
You may feel it’s the end
Your broken heart
The Saviour can mend

If you’re feeling weak
And unable to cope
Take courage and
Never let go of your hope
Take hold of God’s hand
That is stretched out for you
He knows of the times
When you’re feeling blue

He knows of the depths
Of your sorrow and pain
He’s there to help you
To live once again
Take courage dear friend
Look up to the King
Through Jesus ~ our Lord
This battle you’ll win

A NEW YEAR PRAYER

Precious Heavenly Father ….

May our faith be strong as we journey on
In the start of a brand-New Year
And our days be blessed with peace and rest
And freedom from doubt and fear

As we lift our hands and voices, Lord
In heartfelt thanks and praise
We’re grateful for the light You shine
Through darkest nights and days

Bring comfort, Lord, to those who weep
Whose hearts are filled with sorrow
O Saviour, give them strength, we pray
To face each new tomorrow

The Light of life and hope are You
The Rock on which we stand
O Sun of Righteousness, we pray
For healing in this land

Forever be our shelter, Lord
Throughout each night and day
And bring to pass Your perfect will
O Saviour, God, we pray.

Thank You, Lord .. Amen.

Happy New Year 2021!

Dear Friends

I hope this New Year finds you safe and well. I thank the Lord for bringing us safely through 2020 ~ a year unlike any other known to most of our generations. My heart goes out to the millions affected by the awful pandemic. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to be regularly blogging. In life, we can often have wonderful hopes, plans and dreams of things we would like to pursue, but, as we’ve seen, unexpected events and circumstances may postpone things, and sometimes greatly.

BUT – by the grace of God, I’m thankful to be here at this start of 2021 sending you this little note and, by His grace also, hope to continue blogging on a more regular basis.

I pray your year will be blessed and that you will know total health, protection and the wonderful presence of God, our Heavenly Father.

My first blog for 2021 follows: A NEW YEAR PRAYER.

When I Can’t Do It

As we face life each day, we need strength from above. We need the Lord to guide us, to direct our paths, to show us the way – His way …..

When I JUST can’t seem to do it Lord
I know that You can – in me
I thank You that all the things I lack
In YOU, O Lord, I see

As I journey along this heavenly path
No matter what test I face
It’s not about might, nor even power
But patiently running the race

I look at You and it’s possible
New faith begins to rise!
Then I reflect and wonder why
I looked through earthly eyes

Deep down in me, my heart says, “Yes”
When flesh would rather say, “No”
At times You want me, Lord, to wait
When it seems I’m raring to go

I thank You Lord for love that sees
Beyond this fleshly veil
When it seems I can’t, in You I can
Through love that never fails

Lord, Hold My Hand

A short prayer poem for any going through the challenge of illness. God bless you …

Soothe every storm
Calm every fear
When the news is not good
Not what I want to hear.

When the figures are high
And my feelings are low
O help me, dear Jesus
Let faith in me grow.

Your word, precious Lord
Is a lamp to my feet
Your word is alive
Full of power, not defeat.

There’s nothing impossible
Saviour, with You
The miracles of yesterday
You can still do.

YOU are the Lord ~
Who heals my disease
O send forth Your power
Bring a release.

I’m trusting in You
On Your promise I stand
O help me, dear Jesus
Lord, hold my hand.

Jesus, Our Guide & Help

You are our model, Lord Jesus
Perfection of beauty that shines
Our Guide along the journey of life
Peace for troubled minds

When we can’t see around the corner
And don’t know what lies ahead
We only need to trust Your word
And by Your Spirit be led

When we meet with disappointments
And hope is a growing mist
Tempted and tried, we sometimes find
Complaining hard to resist

But You are our present help
Our strength, Lord, when we are weak
Our lighthouse brightly beaming
When days are cold and bleak

May our eyes behold Your beauty
Transforming us from within
Being changed from glory to glory
Through You, dear Jesus, we’ll win

Just Want to Say Thanks

Happy New Year dear friends!! 
As each New Year begins, while we look ahead to the new things God has in store, it’s good for us to look back with thankfulness. I would not be where I am today without Him. Through the years, the Lord has been my rock. Just wanted to share this poem of gratitude ~ one of those He blessed me to publish in my book, “Forever Grateful”. Thank You Lord!

Just Want to Say Thanks

I looked through the window of life each day
When the burdens were great and I hardly could pray
If someone would ask of me how I fared
With an answer, I’d smile, but I just couldn’t share

When the tears wouldn’t cease and I felt I had failed
You came through with peace, Your kindness prevailed
You lifted me, Lord, and helped me to stand
On a rock, and You sheltered me there with Your hand

Your Holy Spirit brought comfort and peace
In the midst of my sorrow and gave me relief
Of the pain and the anguish that weighed like a stone
You always were there, I was never alone

Oh Jesus I love You, I love You so much!
So precious to me is Your comforting touch
Your wonderful peace, You always impart
Just want to say “Thanks”, from a grateful heart
