All of Me

Featured

Lord give me eyes to see beyond
The limits of my mind.
Help me to leave all doubts and fear
Through perfect love, so kind.
Through faith that grabs a hold of You
And knows Your word is true
That says to the mountain, “God is God –
O mountain, who are you?”

Please help me Lord to listen ~
Not to words of unbelief
May the words I hear within my heart
Be the words of life You speak.
O let my heart, within Your hands,
Be pliable as clay
And make me all that You desire
Saviour ~ have Your way.

Lord, guide my feet that I may walk
The narrow road with You
In the path that’s shining more and more
With the perfect day in view.
In body, soul and spirit
I surrender ALL of me
So the light within may shine without
And all the world may see

Sing Your Song

Dear Friends, as we journey through life and unforeseen events occur, whether simple or greatly distressing, our faith may be tested – feelings may get in the way – sometimes we may be anxious, but there’s hope …….

As a glimmer of light on a starless night
faith keeps hope alive.
When days seem long and you don’t feel strong,
faith will help you thrive.

Like Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring,
life brings seasons of change.
As sure as the sun, trials do come,
but friend – don’t think it strange.

Faith sings a song of joy within
for things still yet unseen;
rejoicing in hope, it helps you to win,
so don’t give up your dream.

Hold onto God through faith in Christ
and always sing your song.
The answer will come, just trust in Him,
each day as you journey along.

God’s word tells us that
“..this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

Through Him, we can still stand. Amen!

Where Shall I Go?

Where Shall I Go

A wonderful refuge and shelter is found in the Lord Jesus Christ,
as expressed in my poem “Where Shall I Go?” above.

“Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee”
(Psalm 73:25)

For Yesterday

file6331260680650

For yesterday ..
I thank You, Lord.

There were years that seemed
just like a dream.
There were life-changing scenes.
But I’ve come to know
that You allowed me to go
through that maze,
those difficult days,
You were there always.

You helped me grow,
You kept me strong –
like a tree amidst the storms.

You had hopes for me
when the future I couldn’t see.
When I despaired,
so misty was the view
until I saw You,
looking down from heaven –
showing You care.

Nothing compares with Your love.
You saw my heart and
picked me up.

I owe everything to You.
For all You’ve done for me,
I’m grateful.
Lord, I thank You.

You Make Me Feel Special

background-of-flowers

You make me feel special,
You make my heart glad.
You look after me,
my heavenly Dad.

You know what I’m thinking
and hear when I pray.
You speak words of comfort
to guide me each day.

When oft I need someone
to hold up my hands,
You’re always there, Lord –
and You understand.

You show that You care
in the trials I face.
I know I can always
keep trusting Your grace.

You guide my steps, Lord,
as I travel this road.
You give to me rest
as I give you my load.

Dear Father, I’m glad that
to You I belong.
I thank you for blessing
my heart with this song.

The love of God is a special kind, unlike any other – making us truly feel special when we receive that love!

Tomorrow’s Cares

Image

May all my tomorrows stay there
I need to get through today.
O why should I take on their worries
that never may be anyway?

Why lose the peace that I have now
and strength that I need to survive?
New mercies are mine every morning.
By God’s grace alone do I thrive.

I’ll pen my worries now swiftly
and bring them to Him in prayer.
Today is tomorrow’s history
so I’ll leave my tomorrows there.

God’s Grace, our Strength

Some thoughts for the day:

Dear friends …  I just wanted to share with you some thoughts from moments of reflection. While washing the dishes the other day, I stared out the kitchen window and thought about how I used to worry a lot about how people saw me or thought of me. Before I accepted Christ in my life, I used to feel inferior to others. My life circumstances had not been straightforward and this affected my confidence.

When I came to Christ, I felt such peace and assurance. I knew God loved me and felt I was “somebody” in His sight. As time went by, I sometimes worried again about what other Christians thought of me. This may sound silly, but this was my experience. I felt that others were really moving on with God and my progress was slow. But then as my relationship with Jesus grew deeper, through the Holy Spirit, everything changed and I felt greater peace and assurance.

When we see ourselves through our own eyes and think about our shortcomings and weaknesses, or the way we think others see us, we can feel restricted. But when we see ourselves through the eyes of God, receive His love and what His word says about us – we can make that step forward into victorious living, fruitfulness or new beginnings – knowing for sure that we can rely on His strength. Our strength may fail us, His never will.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9a). “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1)

Prayer:

Thank you dear Lord for Your precious love for us. Thank You that You’re always near, ready to supply all that we need and that it’s all about giving You our weaknesses in exchange for Your strength. Help us not to look at ourselves and what we can’t do, but at You and what You can! Amen.

Love and blessings!
Christine
